Why did I create the American Deal blog

The American Deal is a blog I decided to start in order to address the worst piece of legislation to ever pass the House and Senate of the United Sates of America and actually get signed into law by a President. This piece of legislation is bad based on its content but the really bad part of it has to do with the way it got passed.

Now if you are reading this farther down the road and you do not recognize the date, then let me explain that it is a couple of days after the signing of the Debt Ceiling Bill. The process of raising the debt ceiling has been, up to this point, a routine process. However, a group of freshman representatives held the country hostage until they got their way and that is the biggest problem of all. The bill itself will do immense harm to the country but they will have to reap the consequences for that right along with everyone else. However, they have now set a precedent whereby a small group of people can actually hold our entire country hostage in order to ram their political agenda down the country's throat regardless of whether we like it or not.

To say I am angry will be the understatement of the century. I am so angry that I really have no ability to verbalize that anger in a constructive manner right now. I will stop here for now and perhaps in the near future I can address some of the issues that got us into this mess and how we can actually get ourselves out of it.
